1 SUN 9:00 AM B/C 30-35 mi. MEANDERING TRAILS TO HOPKINS. Depart from French Regional Park in Plymouth. From Hwy 169 take Rockford Rd (Hwy 9) west 1 1/2 miles to park entrance on left. Go south into park to Visitor Center parking lot. This scenic ride goes south around Medicine Lake using connecting paved trails and bike-friendly roads to Hopkins and returns using LRT (crushed limestone) and Luce Line trails. Turn left on Washington Ave (first stoplight past the Hwy 5 overpass) Take an immediate right on the frontage road for 1/4 mile to the Valley Ridge Mall and Acapulco Restaurant on the left. This is a stay-together mapless evening group ride at the B ride pace, on which we will average almost exactly 14 MPH, mostly on paved trails and bicycle lanes. Meet the biking group furthest out in the parking lot straight out from the store's entrance door, as Erik's "AA" team meets right by the front door and also has their ride at that same time but they would be at a much faster pace, and Erik's ride is not a TCBC ride. 7 SAT 1:30 PM C 30 mi. EXPLORE THE WILLARD MUNGER TRAIL SERIES. Depart from Willard Munger Trail at Willow River. From I-35, take the MN-43 exit (EXIT 205), take MN-43 west to Willow River and the trail parking area near MN-61. A series of scenic, mostly flat rides to explore the Willard Munger Trail, designated as Minnesota’s Millennium Trail for the year 2000. This ride will be from Willow River to Barnum and back, with optional dinner in Willow River after the ride. Arrive about 1 PM to get your bike and self ready. Pre-ride gathering at 1:20. A series of scenic, mostly flat rides to explore the Willard Munger Trail, designated as Minnesota’s Millennium Trail for the year 2000.
