5-12 SAT A/B about 50 mi. per day BikeAZona 2011. Depart from Various locations around Scottsdale AZ. The routes will be planned for the A/B rider with 45-60 mile days. Most routes offer shortcuts for a self-sufficient B rider or extra miles for those of you who need to go for more. Rides will start in North Scottsdale or will require a short drive to get out of town and into the desert. All routes will be on paved surfaces, including some paved bike trails and suited to road bikes.

7 -12 MON C 30+ mi. per day "C" ARIZONA. Depart from Scottsdale, Gilbert and Phoenix Arizona. These will be C pace rides and fun in Scottsdale, Gilbert, Phoenix and surrounding areas. We will ride 30 plus a day. The first day wil begin with a 10:00 a.m. brunch at the home of Jan McGee and Joann Martin for a 30 mile flat ride on a central bike path in Scottsdale. On the following days we will have options, including social and tourist activities, with some hills, maps, and a "do-able pace. Weather can range from 50 to 90 degrees a day. This is a scenic ride passing 3 lakes. The rest stop is at mile 19 at Caribou Coffee in White Bear Lake. The leader will ride no slower than 12 mph average. Faster riders are welcome on this ride. This ride will be held immediately after the finish of the TCBC Swap Meet. 27 SUN 8:45 AM A 30+ mi. Midtown Group, Mapless NEW START TIME. Depart from Midtown Bike Center. Ride into the outer city limits as we get prepared for the MN Ironman Bike ride. We will increase distance and speed as the roads and weather become more biker friendly. Start time and location very apt to change weekly, so come back and check the website. 27 SUN 10:00 AM B/C 20-30 mi. MUSH, YOU HUSKIES. Depart from Sunrise Cyclery, 901 W Lake St (SW corner of Bryant & Lake), Minneapolis. A wintery mapless social ride on paved trails and bike lanes. We'll venture as far as weather and road conditions permit. Temps below ten above, frozen freewheels, and cavernous potholes may cancel the ride. Depart from Roseville Professional Center (2233 Hamline Ave N, Roseville MN 55113 - just south of Hwy 36 on the west side of Hamline Ave across from the Roseville Library). Park at the west end of the lot. Think Spring returns for another great year of complaining about the cold but riding anyway. Weather dictates distance, tire tread, & clothing layers. We go in just about all weather except freezing rain, blizzard or windchill below -25F. All self-sufficient riders are welcome. Fun!!! 27 SUN 1:00 PM B 26-31 mi. Gettin' The Ironman Bug. Depart from Erik's Bike Shop (MAIN parking lot in front of store), 8006 Minnetonka Blvd, St. Louis Park, MN 55426. Ride mostly bike trails (avoid the potholes on the roads!) in the western suburbs and Minneapolis to Dunn Bros and back. 28 MON 10:30 AM B/C 30 mi. Pink Express (Roseville). Depart from County Cycles, 2700 Lexington, Roseville 55113. Please park on Woodhill Drive (side street by the store). It's time to ride again. This is a scenic ride passing 3 lakes. The rest stop is at mile 19 at Caribou Coffee in White Bear Lake. The leader will ride no slower than 12 mph average. Faster riders are welcome on this ride. 29 TUE 11:00 AM A/B 15-25 mi. Winter Warmup. Depart from Lynnhurst Park in Minneapolis, West 50th and Minnehaha Parkway, just south of Lake Harriet. Don't let winter keep you from riding! 29 TUE 5:00 PM B 25-30 mi. Bunker Hills and Beyond. Depart from Bunker Hills Activity Center. 550 Bunker Lake Boulevard NW. Andover. MN. Explore the northern Twin Cities metro area while riding through open meadows and tree-lined avenues of the Anoka Sand Plain. Rest stop provided depending on route. 30 WED 6:00 PM A 20-30+ mi. Midtown Challenge Group- Mapless. Depart from Midtown Bike Center 29th Street and 10th Ave South ON THE GREENWAY. Various Routes and distance as we will ride to the edge of darkness. As the sun stays longer we shall increase our mileage. We will ride faster with no rest stops. Direction and distance determined by weather and wind. Weather appropriate bikes for road conditions. When roads dry and the Potholes are gone the faster the bikes get. 31 THU 5:30 PM A/B 25-30+ mi. Midtown Spring Tune-up. Depart from Midtown Bike Center on the Greenway. 29th St and 10th Ave South. Get your legs warmed up for spring riding and prepare yourself for the Ironman. A variety of routes some just flat on trails and sometimes out to Mendota and St Paul. A map is provided for these rides. Distance will increase as the days get longer. Weather and road conditions will determine the best route for the evening.
