Depart from Visitor Center in Prescott, WI. Directions to start: Turn right (south) on WI 35 from the bridge into Prescott, then right on Monroe in a mile or less. Amazing scenery, many climbs, zero traffic roads: cycling paradise. View main routes on p.132 of the Bike Atlas. I've added a 50 mile option totaling 125 miles and 9,500 ft of climbing. Don't do it unless you are feeling extra spry; trust me, it's no picnic. The 76 mile route has 5,500 feet of climbing. The 52 mile option has 3,300 and goes along the Trimbelle River valley: very nice. Directions to start: Turn right (south) on WI 35 from the bridge into Prescott, then right on Monroe in a mile or less. Prescott is on the other side of Cottage Grove, an easy drive from the cities. No restrooms at the ride start although they are open in the Visitor Center after the ride. There is a gas station as you enter WI. I check email frequently so feel free to email questions. Presenting a shorter and earlier version of the Acapulco, extended into October by popular demand. Take off work a bit early and enjoy the best cycling roads this side of Wisconsin!
