1 SUN SUNDAY SUNRISE SOLITUDE. A/B 62 & 79 mi, A 100 & 151 mi. Depart at 6:00 AM from Perkins Restaurant, New Brighton (zipcode 55112), 2 blocks west of I-35W on Cty. Rd. D. Park at far end of the lot. Choose one of four mileage options to ride in the country & city plus the entire Gateway Trail, starting with the solitude of a sunrise. Jim Joy

1 SUN ROLLING ON THE WESTSIDE FOR HABITAT FOR HUMANITY. A/B 44 mi. Depart at 8:30 AM from West Wind Plaza by Caribou Coffee on Rt 101. Three and half miles west of I-494 on Highway 7, make a right on Rt 101 and park at far end of the lot towards Cub Foods. An excellent ride in the western suburbs. Eric Feld. Co-Leader Lee Stagg. 1 SUN 30/60 METRIC. B 30 or 60 mi. Depart at 9:30 AM from the University of St. Thomas main lot, corner of Cretin and Summit Avenues in St. Paul. Urban route allows for a choice of hitting the rest stop for brunch and rolling 4 miles back to the lot and home, or adding another 30 miles to the day. Julie VanMersbergen

1 SUN MAY DAY PUPPETS AND A PARADE. B 25-30 mi. Depart at 10:00 AM from Matthews Park, East 24th St and 27th Ave S in Minneapolis. Park on 24th St.  This is a social ride with a lunch stop at the Turtle Bakery and watching the Heart of the Beast May Day Parade with giant puppets and other funky characters.  See it at www.heartofthebeasttheatre.org/mayday/.  Bring a bike lock if you want to go to Powderhorn Park afterwards for a continuation of the May Day celebration. 1 SUN CITY CYCLING. A/B 23-28 mi. Depart at 5:30 PM from the Lock & Dam parking lot underneath the west end of the Stone Arch bridge. From Washington Avenue, go east on Portland, past West River Road, and down the short steep hill to the parking lot. The route includes the East & West River Roads, Summit Avenue, and the fort Snelling area. Self sufficient B riders are welcome. Hope to see you there! Lisa Dust

2 MON RIDING WITH “THE DUDE”. C pace, 15-25 mi. Depart at 11:00 AM. Join the Dude as he does his recovery rides on Monday mornings. This B/C ride leaves from the north end of Lake Phalen at the corner of East Shore and East Shore Drive. Enjoy the Gateway and other low-traffic routes as you help the Dude rack up big time miles on his Burley. The Dude doesn’t ride if it’s raining, his Mom says so. Call or email if any questions

2 MON MELLOW MONDAY. C 15-22 mi. Depart at 6:00 PM from Lake Nokomis Beach Coffee at the corner of 28th Ave So. and 50th St. in South Mpls. This is one block east of Lake Nokomis on 50th, two blocks south of Minnehaha Parkway on 28th Ave. Please park on the street and no parking in front of shops! Route varies weekly and it may be mapless. 3 TUE AUGIE’S GATEWAY SOCIAL RIDE. C 24-35 mi. All new start/finish Location. Depart at 8:30 AM sharp from Maplewood Community Center, 2100 White Bear Ave in Maplewood, about 3 blocks south of Highway 36 and about 1 block north of the Gateway Trail.  Park in the middle of the lot. 4 WED THE WHOLE ENCHILADA! A/B 20-30 mi. Depart at 6:00 PM from the Roseville Professional Center, 2233 Hamline Ave N, just south of Hwy 36 on the west side of Hamline Ave in Roseville. 4 WED CRUISING COON RAPIDS. C 20 mi. Depart from Erik's Bike Shop in Coon Rapids at 6:00 PM.  This ride is on a paved trail and a slow traffic road around the Coon Rapids Dam and the Mississippi River. 6 FRI SOUTHWEST METRO SPRING RIDE. Ride 2 of series. C 25 mi. Meet at 10:00 AM at Erik's Bike Shop, 16376 Wagner Way in Eden Prairie, one block north from Hwy. 5. Turn right on Wagner Way and left into strip mall parking lot. 7 SAT PLUM CITY PUMPER. A/B 60-70 mi. Depart at 9:30 AM from the municipal parking lot next to the gas station on Main St. (County U) just off of Hwy 10 at the north end of downtown Plum City, WI. Challenging hills and little-traveled rural roads. Plum City is on U.S. Hwy 10, about 35 miles east of Prescott, WI. Details will be posted on the TCBC e-group during the week before the ride. Depart at 10:00 AM from Nokomis Beach Coffee (and ice cream!) at the corner of 28th Ave South and 50th St in south Minneapolis, one block east of Lake Nokomis on 50th St and two blocks south of Minnehaha Parkway on 28th Ave. Park on-street or in the lot behind the shop. No parking in front of the shop, please! This is an easy B ride exploring Minneapolis parks, bikeways, lakes, and the muddy Mississippi. We"ll do a small loop of Victoria and stop at Adele's upon returning. The trail is crushed limestone. Take Minnetonka Blvd west from Minneapolis to Cottagewood Rd, then turn right into the parking lot. Take I-94 East to Wisconsin and exit on WI 35 South (River Falls exit). Exit left on M, go right on M/Division, and make a quick right on Hanson. Quiet country roads, big hills and more big hills, and a great lunch stop in Maiden Rock. 14 SAT THE DOUGLAS TRAIL. C 32 mi. Takeoff time is 9:00 AM sharp. The first of many special Saturday rides this year. We’ll start at the Pine Island Trailhead, bike through Douglas, and take a rest at the end of the trail in Rochester. With this ride and all of my Saturday rides, I have only 2 speeds on my recumbent: "slow" and "stop". I’ll try to keep up and keep it a real social ride. 14 SAT ELM CREEK "EASE INTO BIKING" SERIES. C 15 mi. Depart at 9:30 AM from the west side of the parking lot of the Holiday gas station at 109th Ave N. and Douglas Dr in Champlin. A friendly set of 6 Saturday morning rides (May 14, 21, and June 4, 11, 18, 25) exploring the North Hennepin Corridor Trail between the Coon Rapids Dam and Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove. 14 SAT SEESAW TO ARKANSAW. A/B about 70 mi. Depart at 9:30 AM from the park on the river in Maiden Rock, WI. Cross into Wisconsin at Prescott or Red Wing and take WI 35 south to the town of Maiden Rock on Lake Pepin. Turn towards the river on Chestnut St. and into the park. 14 SAT B RIDE WITH SOME HILLS. B 30 mi. Leave at 10:00 AM from the bottom of Crosby Farm Road in Crosby Farm Park, along the Mississippi River in St. Paul. Enter at the intersection where Mississippi River Blvd becomes Shepard Road. The ride goes along the Mississippi River, with several nice climbs. Dave Dugan

14 SAT BASIC GROUP RIDING SKILLS. B 20 mi. Meet at Island Lake Park at 10:00 AM. Take I-694 to the Victoria exit. Island Lake Park is just south of I-694 on Victoria. Whether you’re brand new to group riding or just want to brush up on your skills, this session will show you the skills and etiquette you need to ride safely and enjoyably with a group. We'll do some fun drills in the parking lot, then head out for a ride to practice what we've learned. Since the emphasis is on group riding, the group will stay together for the ride. Liz Sands
