NOVEMBER

1 TUE FALL WARMUP. A/B 25-35 mi. Depart at 11 AM from Lynnhurst Park in Minneapolis, W. 50th and Minnehaha Parkway, just south of Lake Harriet. Various routes in various directions, depending on the weather and my mood. Jim Joy

2 WED LAKES AND RIVERS ROUNDABOUT. C 23-25 mi. Depart at 10:30 AM from parking lot above Minnehaha Falls pavilion. Park free on the street or pay to park in the lot. Join us for almost our last ride for the year! We will stop for lunch at either the Birchwood or the Walker Art Center. Call one of us if the weather looks bad to be sure the ride will be going. 2 WED THE WHOLE ENCHILADA! N 20-25 mi. Depart at 6 PM from the Roseville Professional Center (2233 Hamline Ave N – just south of Hwy 36 on the west side of Hamline Ave in Roseville). Park at the west end of the lot. Front & rear lights required; cross or mountain bikes recommended. Ride in the crisp autumn air past area lakes and parks. Join your compadres afterwards at ‘Ol Mexico or other establishment for fun and refueling! Andele! Andele! Epa! Epa! Yeehah! Mary Derks, and others.

4 FRI HIKE IN VADNAIS. 5 miles. Meet at 11:00 AM for "Miss your cycling buddies withdrawal fix”. Join us for this (C pace) five-mile hike (on foot) in the Vadnais/Snail Lake Regional Park. Optional lunch follows hike. We'll meet at the parking lot off County Rd F in Sucker Lake segment of the park in Vadnais Heights. To get there take Hwy 694 to Rice Street. Follow Rice St. North to County Rd F. Turn right (east) to parking lot which is on north side of the street before the RR tracks. Ambassadors: Heidi Green and Catherine Fritter. 4 FRI  LAKE NOKOMIS.  A/B 20-25 mi  Depart at 1:00 pm from the parking lot on the North side of Lake Nokomis.  The parking lot is on Lake Nokomis Parkway across the street from the Community Center and just off Minnehaha Parkway.  If the temperature is below 32 degrees at 12:30 the ride will be canceled.  Park on the street or pay to park.  We will go to Mello Glaze Bakery after the ride for treats.  Susan Evan , (WEB RIDE)

5 SAT AN APPLE A DAY. B 25-50 mi. Depart at 10:30 AM from Mahtomedi High School on Hwy 12 (take Hwy 36 just east of I-694, north on Hilton Trail, east on Hwy 12, then left into the school.) Keep the doctor away by eating an apple or two on this ride that takes us along the quiet winding roads of the area with a rest stop at the Pine Tree Apple Orchard. Never mind that those apples will be covered with caramel sauce and ice cream or tucked inside of pies and turnovers! 5 SAT DONE BY SPRING. A/B 24 mi. Depart at 11 AM from Nokomis Beach Coffee at the corner of 28th Avenue and 50th St. in South Minneapolis. This is one block east of Lake Nokomis on 50th Street, and two blocks south of Minnehaha Parkway on 28th Avenue. Park on-street or in the coffee shop lot. This is the Done By One route for those of us who just can't get enough. Stay after for snacks and coffee at Nokomis Beach Coffee - great sandwiches! Jim Joy.

5 SAT A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE ANNUAL MEETING. N 23 mi. Depart at 3:15 PM from Brooklyn Center Community Center. Located at 694 and Shingle Creek Pkwy. All levels welcome to join us for a ride prior to Dessert Potluck at the Annual Meeting. Even though majority of this ride will be in the daylight, please remember to bring your lights. From Washington Ave., go east on Portland past West River Road and down the short steep hill to the parking lot. 10 THU GREAT CYCLIST SOCIAL GET TOGETHER. We’ll all be meeting at 8:30 AM at Panera’s Bread and Coffee Shop at 2515 White Bear Ave, in Maplewood, just 2 blocks north of Highway 36. Our topic can range anywhere from cycling to planning more cycling trips, or just what is new in Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, or anything you wish to talk about. Coffee, bagels und fancy desserts are to die for. They also serve soup und sandwiches. What are you waiting for? Come und join us for some great TCBC camaraderie and fellowship. Any questions? 11 FRI TGIF NIGHT. N 25 mi. Depart at 6:00 PM from the rear lot of the Burnet Realty at Highway 96 and Hodgson. Ride together through a series of scenic trails and lightly traveled neighborhood roads. Join us for the traditional dinner at Paninos after the ride. The entire route is paved so road bikes are fine but front and rear lights are required for all. The ride will not go if its raining or temps drop below freezing but you can always count on dinner! 12 SAT JORDAN JAUNT. B/C 24 mi. Meet at 10:30 AM at Lagoon Park in Jordan at the water falls. Take Hwy 169 south (From Twin Cities) to first Jordan Exit (Hwy 21, which winds under Hwy 169 heading south). Continue south on Hwy 21 to Hwy 282. Then turn right at light. Go 2 blocks to Varner Street. Turn left on Varner St and follow Varner St up the hill about 4 blocks to Lagoon Park on the left (Park Drive) We'll ride on lightly traveled paved county roads to Belle Plaine for a stop at Emma Krumbee's for lunch and then return. 12 SAT NIGHTCRAWLER. N 25 mi. Leave at 4 PM from Mendota Plaza, located on the southeast corner of Hwy 110 and Dodd Blvd. in Mendota Heights. This is located less than 1 mile east of 35E on Hwy 110. We?ll worm ur way through some remote areas on several miles of unpaved trail, so cross or mountain bikes are strongly advised. Front and rear lights are required along with a sense of adventure. Come ride your bike and enjoy the company while pedaling in the slush. Afterwards we will head to a restaurant for food, company, and possibly some birthday bashes.
