1 SAT COON RAPIDS RIVER RIDE REVISED. A/B 60 mi. Depart at 7:30 AM from Eriks Bike Shop, 2120 Northdale Blvd. NW,Coon Rapids, MN 55433. This predominately flat route traverses the Anoka Sand Plain, an extensive area of level terrain formed by glacial meltwaters. It passes through wooded areas as well as wide open prairie. 1 SAT SPRING VALLEY RIDE. A/B 60-70 mi. Depart at 10:00 AM from Handy Andy Park in Spring Valley, WI. From MN, take I-94 east to exit 24, go right/south 7 miles to Route 29, then left/east 2 miles. Handy Andy Park is on the right, just east of Main St.  We?ll do a relaxed ride on the beautiful low-traffic roads of the area and hopefully see some great fall colors! Mary Derks.

Enter at the intersection where Mississippi River Blvd becomes Shepard Rd. The ride goes along the Mississippi River, with several nice climbs. Dave Dugan

2 SUN SUNDAY SUNRISE SOLITUDE. A/B 62 & 79 mi. + A 100 & 151 mi. Depart at 7:15 AM from Perkins Restaurant, New Brighton [zipcode 55112], 2 blks west of I-35W on Cty Rd D. Park at far end of lot. Choose one of four mileage options to ride in the country & city plus the whole Gateway Trail, starting with the solitude of a sunrise. Jeff Hofstede, .

2 SUN ROLLING ON THE WESTSIDE. A/B, 60 mi. Depart at 8:00 AM from Holiday Gas Station Eden Prairie, Dell Rd and 62, 3-1/2 miles west of 494 on 62. Park at far end of lot, next to Dell Rd. An excellent ride in the western suburbs. Eric Feld,  and Lee Stagg.

2 SUN NORTHEAST WHIRL. B 32 mi. Depart at 9:00 AM from the Audubon Coffee Shop parking lot at 2852 Johnson St NE, Minneapolis. That?s one mile north of the Johnson Street exit off northbound I-35W.  Note: there is no Johnson Street exit off southbound 35W. We?ll ride along less-traveled roads, then through Wirth Park before heading out towards the Depot in Hopkins.  Come early and have coffee and a scone in a coffee shop with NE ambiance. 2 SUN TRIMBELLE RIVER RIDE. B 40-45 mi. Depart at 9:00 AM from Virginian Restaurant, 7 miles east of Prescott, WI. Take 94 east to US 61 south, to US 10 east, to Prescott, then 7 miles more to the Virginian on your left. We?ll bike some hills, a river valley, and more hills ? three are made for granny. 2 SUN A RIDE IN THE CLOUDS. A/B 52 or 62 miles. Leave at 10:00 AM from Ojibway Park in Woodbury. Exit 494 at Lake Road and go southeast, left on Courtly Road and then a right on Ojibway Drive into the park. Scenic roads to Grey Cloud Island, Cottage Grove Ravine, and then on to Afton with a rest stop at Selma's Ice Cream. Two distance options with more roads leading into the clouds on the longer route. 2 SUN APPLE RUN. C 15 mi. Mapless. Depart at 12:00 noon. An out and back fall trek on the Luce Line with a stop half-way at the Minnetonka Orchards. Trail is crushed limestone - hard but dusty. Directions to Stubbs Bay parking lot. Take 394/12 west thru Long Lake to Willow, left (over the construction bridge) to Watertown Road, right to Stubbs Bay Road, then left to parking. Dave Rusinko.

2 SUN STONE ARCH BRIDGE AND BROADWAY PIZZA RIDE. C 20-24 mi. Leave at 1:30 PM from Webster School parking lot at Adams St NE and Spring St in Minneapolis. 2 SUN APPLE ORCHARD RIDE. A/B 44, B 34 miles. Leaves at 1:30 PM from the parking lot at Ramsey Beach on White Bear Lake. Take Highway 61 north to WBL, turn right on MN 96, then right into the lot. 2 SUN FAMILY SOCIAL. C ride at a social pace, 18-20 mi on the Gateway Trail. We?ll start at 1:30 PM from trailhead at Hwy. 36 and Hadley in North St. Paul, near 694. 3 MON JOAN'S BTTOCRAB. (Bike The Trails Of Coon Rapids And Blaine) C 20-25 mi. Mapless. Meet at 9:45 AM at Three Rivers Regional Park Coon Rapids Dam parking lot (free parking) near visitors center. From Hwy 610 take Noble Av north, turn right (east) on 97th Av N, then left (north) on Russell Av to Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park visitors center parking area. 3 MON NIGHT MILES FROM MAPLEWOOD. N 25 mi. Depart at 6:00 PM from the HealthPartners Maplewood Clinic, White Bear Ave and County Rd B, south on White Bear Av from Hwy 36. Don't let the shorter days stop your after-work rides! Join us as we continue to leave the city behind and ride into the countryside of Ramsey and Washington County. Meet to leave by 6:00 PM from Mendota Plaza, located on the southeast corner of Hwy 110 and Dodd Blvd in Mendota Heights, less than 1 mile east of 35E on Hwy 110. A good portion of the route is on paved trails. Front and rear lights are required. Mountain or cross bikes recommended for more stable tires. 5 WED "CAPS" VIA GREEN WAY AND MINNEHAHA CREEK PARKWAY TRAILS. C 25-30 mi. Depart at 9:30 AM from Hopkins Depot Coffeehouse parking lot located at Hwy 169 and Excelsior Blvd. Our destination is Caps, for their city top-rated BBQ menu including their famous sandwich "The Stacker". 6 THU THURSDAY EXPRESS. A 18-27 mi, A/B 16-27 mi. Depart at 5:00 PM sharp from the Lock and Dam parking lot under the west end of the Stone Arch Bridge. Go northeast on Portland from Washington Av, then just past West River Road down a short steep hill to the Mpls Lock and Dam parking lot. Mileage decreases as daylight decreases. We'll be biking on asphalt park trails and roads around Shoreview, Vadnais Heights, and White Bear Lake, starting and ending in the Regional Park. Rest stop at 11-mile mark. 7 FRI TGIF NIGHT. N 25 mi. Depart at 6:00 PM from the rear lot of the Burnet Realty at Highway 96 and Hodgson. Ride together through a series of scenic trails and lightly traveled neighborhood roads. Join us for the traditional dinner at Paninos after the ride. The entire route is paved so road bikes are fine but front and rear lights are required for all. 8 SAT THE GATEWAY/SUNRISE PRAIRIE/HARDWOOD CREEK TRAIL. A/B RIDE. It?s our 3rd annual 100 hundred mile (160.0 km) ride with a social C pace, with all day to do it. Yes, this is the Big Kahuna, the Grand Pooba, the Biggie, the Mother of all C pace rides (for me anyway). We?ll be doing the whole Gateway plus the entire Heartland und Sunrise Prairie trail. Start and finish at the Maplewood Community Center parking lot. Please park to the rear of the lot. We?ll leave at 8:00 AM sharp. Please be there 10 to 15 minutes early. We?ll have a couple of designated rest stops along the way. Because of distance und always that possibility of poor weather, please do make the call before coming to the ride to make sure it?s a go. 8 SAT ELM CREEK RIDE. C 25. Depart at 9:30 AM from the west side of the Holiday Gas Station parking lot at 109th Av N and Douglas Dr, Champlin. Friendly social ride exploring the North-Hennepin Corridor Trail and Elm Creek Park Reserve. From Hwy 694, take Hwy 252 north 3.4 miles to the new Hwy 610. Get in LEFT hand lane. Turn left (west) on Hwy 610 for 3 miles. Turn right (north) on Zane Av N/Co Rd 14 for 1.6 miles. Zane becomes Douglas Dr. At 109th Av N, turn right into Holiday lot. From Hwy I-94 west, exit onto Hwy 252 north then right onto 81st Av N until it dead ends at River Park. Terry Osell will showcase this special ride. Depart at 10:30 AM from the west end of the parking lot of Pottery Place on Old West Main St in Red Wing.  Pedal  around beautiful Lake Pepin and enjoy the wonderful scenery and the spectacular fall colors. Go one block south from Hwy 5; Bokoo Bikes is on the left. We'll be biking on black topped trails and enjoying fall colors through Chanhassen and Chaska where we will join the Chaska Dike Trails. 14 FRI CHIPPEWA FALLS COLOR RIDE, DAY 1. B/C 25 and 50 miles. Ride starts at 10:00 AM. Meet at the parking lot in Irvine Park just north of Leinenkugels Brewery on 124 in Chippewa Falls. Will ride some city streets to get to the new segment of the Old Abe Trail, ride to Jim Falls and Cornell, and back. Trail pass required: $4 day pass, $15 annual. Will have lunch in vicinity.

14 FRI AN AFTERNOON RIDE. A/B 35 miles. Depart at 12:00 from the picnic area  just north of the parking lot near the Lake Harriet Bandshell.  Rest stop will be at the Historic Dunn Brothers Coffee Shop in Eden Prairie.  Susan Evan (WEB RIDE)

14 FRI TGIF NIGHT. N 25 mi. Depart at 6:00 PM from the rear lot of the Burnet Realty at Highway 96 and Hodgson. Ride together through a series of scenic trails and lightly traveled neighborhood roads. Join us for the traditional dinner at Paninos after the ride. The entire route is paved so road bikes are fine but front and rear lights are required for all. The ride will not go if its raining or temps drop below freezing but you can always count on dinner! 15 SAT NORTH BY NORTH BRANCH. A/B 100 mi. Depart at 8:30 AM from Ramsey County Beach, just east of highway 61 on SR 96. Self sufficient B riders welcome. North to Harris, returning via Taylors Falls, Lindstrom, and Scandia. A pleasant way to do a century. Leon Webster.

Trail pass required: $4 day pass, $15 annual. Take 94 to Exit 59. At top of exit take 124 right to Highway 12, about 5 miles. Follow Highway 12 to the right. Just before the river turn left on Menomonie St, which turns into Water St. Go to First Av; turn left to parking lot in Owen Park. Paved trail. Will ride to Meridian. Convenience store at Caryville. Water and toilet on route. Annual evening brat feed at John?s. Optional evening play, Sound of Music, at State Theatre in Eau Claire. Tickets approximately $12. Call leaders for reservations. 15 SAT CRUISIN' THE COULEES OVERNIGHT, DAY 1. A/B. Meet at 10:00 AM both days. So you've honed that body over the summer into a "lean and mean, climbing machine"... Well you have, haven't you?  Now come along and put that hard earned prowess to good use. Experience some splendid riding through the ?lost in time? valleys of beautiful southwestern Wisconsin! The Saturday ride, with options of 65 or 50 miles, departs at 10:30 AM from Pepin, Wisconsin. Pepin is about 70 scenic miles southeast of the Twin Cities on WI Hwy 35. In Pepin, turn right on Prairie St for two blocks to 1st St. Veer left, cross the R.R. tracks, and park in the lot along the river front by the Pickle Factory Restaurant. After the ride we'll scrub up and meet for some good eatin? at the famous Harbor View Restaurant. They open at 5. Note that the Harbor View accepts cash or checks only, no credit cards. 15 SAT AN APPLE A DAY. A/B 55-65 mi. Depart at 10:00 AM from Mahtomedi High School on Hwy 12 (take Hwy 36 just east of I-694, north on Hilton Trail, east on Hwy 12, then left into the school.) Keep the doctor away by eating an apple or two on this ride that takes us along the quiet winding roads of the area en route to Scandia and back with a rest stop at the Pine Tree Apple Orchard. Never mind that those apples will be covered with caramel sauce and ice cream or tucked inside of pies and turnovers! Mary Derks.

16 SUN CRUISIN' THE COULEES OVERNIGHT DAY 2. A/B departs from Alma, Wisconsin at 10:30 AM, with options of 65, 58 and 44 miles, with the first 27 miles in common. These mileages may be tweaked slightly... Stay tuned. Alma is about 16 miles south of Pepin on WI Hwy 35. Meet and park on Main St (WI 35) at the north end of town near Lock and Dam #4. The official breakfast will be at the Pier 4 Cafe, 600 North Main St in Alma, just north of the Lock and Dam. The leaders will meet there around 9:00 AM. Please join us. Both days feature beautiful back roads into the hills and dales of Wisconsin's famed "coulee country". Lots of ups and downs, so bring strong legs! Day trippers are most welcome. 16 SUN RED CEDAR FALL COLOR RIDE AND CREAMERY BUFFET, DAY 3. B/C 28 mi; extra miles optional. Ride starts at 10:30 AM. Take 94 to Menomonie Exit 41. South to Highway 29 to Red Cedar trail head. 16 SUN RETRO ROUNDABOUT. B 20-25 mi. Depart at 12:00 noon from the Retro Roast and Fountain located on CR 19 in Loretto. Take Hwy 55 west past I-494 towards Buffalo, then left (south) at CR 19 to Loretto (less than one mile). The Retro is on the right (west) side of the street just before the railroad tracks. Depart at 10:00 AM from Boom Island parking lot (pay parking at lot or free on adjacent streets). Boom Island is accessed from N Plymouth Av (bridge) / 8th Av NE. 30 SUN GET TO KNOW HASTINGS. (FALL EDITION) MAPLESS C 5-20 mi. Meet at 10:30 AM at Vermillion River Park. From Twin Cities take Hwy 61 south to Hastings. After crossing bridge, continue through Hwy 46 junction, then turn left on 21st St East to park (across from Applebee's). Hastings TCBC'er Bob Caniff will showcase this fall edition. Depart at 6:00 PM from Mendota Plaza, located on the southeast corner of Hwy 110 and Dodd Blvd in Mendota Heights, less than 1 mile east of 35E on Hwy 110.  End your 2005 biking season with this unique ride! You?re never too old for tricks and treats and we?ve got both in store for you. We guarantee a new riding experience and to warm you up at the end with a blazing bonfire at the plaza.
