(MD/DE/VA/NC). Van trip to the East Coast. Another spring cycling adventure: the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay (including Maryland and Delaware), Virginia/North Carolina Heartlands, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Shenandoah Valley (Skyline Drive).

Jerry Loomis Mountain Bike Weekend

New to Mountain Biking and Mountain Bike Rentals? - The CAMBA mountain bike trails are for ALL skill levels. There will be advice and helping hands for new mountain bikers from experienced TCBC leaders. If you are an "I've never done it, but I want to" mountain biker, or if you are a mountain bike die-hard, this weekend is for you.

Bikin N Brainerd

John and Anne Kaese will be the TCBC Bikin 'n Brainerd hosts next spring. Maybe the fair haired Kaeses will incorporate the color red in their theme. Then those of you with red bikes and red clothing could by redoubling your efforts, redefine and redesign Bikin 'n Brainerd. Contacts: Dave Gepner or the Kaese's.

Velo Trempealeau, Whitehall, WI

... Have you ever wanted to ride your bike "On Top of the World"? Saturday's new Route will give you that opportunity. After a gradual (but long) climb, we'll arrive on Montana Ridge Road. The next 14 flat miles you'll be looking 360 degrees over the surrounding countryside with 20-mile views. Bring your cameras for this one folks!...

Self Contained Bike Camping Weekend

A/B. Grab your panniers or trailer and join a small group biking from the Twin Cities to Wild River State Park and back again, approximately 60 miles per day. Trippers carry own camping equipment and a share of the group's gear. Camping and food expenses shared. Call Bob Julian or email .

Day in Duluth

(3 & 5 day versions) The D.I.D. five-day trip is July 11-15 with an average of 75 miles biked each of the two days to Duluth and two days back, all on paved roads or trails. The three-day trip is July 12-14 with an average of 150 miles biked in one day to Duluth and one day back, again all on paved surfaces. Trip leaders: Mike Beadles for the three-day option, and Dave Erick and Kristine Poelzer for the five-day ride.

Rocking the BC Bikies

A/B Ride. (50-90 miles per day with sag) Cycling the Canadian Rockies--British Columbia Style: Traveling through stunning scenery (silver triangles, golden triangles, right triangles, obtuse triangles, love triangles), lodging in lodges, motels, hostels and B&Bs, crossing free ferries and exploring old mining sites. This trip is three days of bicycle rides with a 'motel base' (camping also available). Come and experience the Minnesota's River's bend in the Mankato area (about 1 1/2 hours southwest from the Twin Cities). You can come for the entire weekend or for any of the days you choose.

Bikin N Brainerd

Spend the weekend of September 6th to the 8th on rides in the "North Country", and experience the unique setting, sumptuous meals, and the personal attention of Lost Lake Lodge. You'll bike among the tall pines of Upper Gull Lake near Nisswa only 150 miles north of the metro where hidden in the forest is one of the "Top 25 Resorts in the Midwest"...

Ride 1, 2, or 3 days of the "Scenic and safe routes on paved back roads that offer views of a magical place removed from time and traffic." Trempealeau means: "Mountain rising from waters". You'll be rewarded for your climbing efforts with incredible 20-mile views...

Take a break from city biking and head south to Minnesota's Root River region for the fifth annual Root River Romp! We will ride the trails along the Root River, visit interesting communities, and hopefully see some excellent fall colors!

Jerry Loomis Mountain Bike Weekend - Fall


This is really good mountain biking! The "Fall 2002 Jerry Loomis Mountain Bike Weekend" in the woods outside of Cable, Wisconsin, is the time for mountain bikers to enjoy the Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association (CAMBA) Off-Road Bike Trail System. There are 300 miles of marked and mapped routes for mountain bikers.
