A/B 51 miles - hilly

ridewithgps.com/routes/28596850

Start/Finish:
Molly's Cafe
808 MN-7, Silver Lake, MN 55381

While listed as an "A/B" ride, I personally will be riding more like a "B" pace, so am planning
to finish this 51 mile ride in about 4 hours at that pace, and including rest stop times.
If other "B" riders interested in riding together with me, others that know me know that I
will make efforts to keep that "B" group together. Others that want to ride faster, may do so
of course, especially since it's listed as "A/B".

This ride will be held starting about 40 miles west of I-494 on Highway 7, in Silver Lake MN at
Molly's Cafe (please find our dark red MRBIKEY van parked near the back side of the building so
as to cause the least minimum impact to the customer parking near the front doors).

Water, Snacks, Food (Great Breakfast & Lunch!) and Rest Rooms are available at Molly's - see website
at mollymelt.com for menu and other details. Water, Snacks and Rest Rooms are also at the Cenex gas
station a couple doors west of Molly's.

This ride route is a modified version of the Luce Line Loops 51 mile route, giving thanks and credit
to the Hutchinson Rotary Luce Line Loops Ride Committee members. Starting with 10 miles of PAVED Luce
Line bike trail from Silver Lake past farm fields and the Crow River Winery, following the Crow River,
to Hutchinson. First rest stop is at a short 10 miles into the route, at Hutchinson's Oddfellows Park
with a SuperAmerica nearby for snacks, water and rest rooms.

As we continue the route through the tunnel under Highway 7, and head north and west on good shoulder,
low traffic roads, to Piepenberg Park, then a fun curvy and slightly hilly road past lakes Belle, Cedar,
Manuella, Stella and Washington.

Our second rest stop is at mile 30 in Dassel at the Casey's Gas Station, with Water, Snacks and Rest Rooms
available. After the rest stop, we ride back through town on the historic Atlantic (Main) St next to the
RR tracks to continue our route.

Then low-traffic county rides as we ride past glimpses of Collinwood, Maple, Shakopee, and Swan Lakes.
Finally returning to Molly's again on paved Luce Line trail.

After the ride, there are more options for those interested in continuing the fun - lunch at Molly's
and/or attending part or all of the Crow River Winery Grape Stomp 2018.

The Grape Stomp Festival is at Crow River Winery, 5 miles west of Molly's Cafe.
